About A Brave Choice

A Brace Choice was founded by Director Martin S. Leventon, MA. He has been involved in adoption agency work for the last 31 years. Born and educated in Philadelphia, Martin has an advanced degree in Urban Studies. A Brave Choice helps both birth parents and adoptive parents of all backgrounds come together in their decision to place a child for adoption as well as to adopt.

A Brave Choice provides Adoption Services to birthparents, adoptive parents, single parents and children of all races, colors, national origins and sexual preferences.  In doing so we also provide accommodations for those with hearing or other physical impairments and offer translation services when needed.

A Brave Choice has worked with many women in crisis who have been referred to us over the years by local physicians, clinics and major hospitals including HUP, Pennsylvania Hospital, Einstein, Temple, Thomas Jefferson, Germantown, Pottstown and Lehigh Valley Medical Center. 

Adoption can be a complex, long and arduous process for adopting families as well. A Brave Choice has limited the number of families in its program so that it can provide comprehensive counseling, legal, home study, post placement and intermediary services on a very individualized basis. 

Choosing the right Adoption Agency for an Adoptive Family is a process. However, all states and their courts and adoption agencies, including Pennsylvania will require you to have a Home Study before you can adopt a child. A Brave Choice via its experienced Adoption Social Workers can provide this home study service for families looking into an adoption. We would be pleased to write your home study whether you decide to work with us or another Adoption Agency. However, if you have us complete your home study, you will be eligible for an adoption referral from our agency.
